WordPress CSV Export Add-on

What it does

This add-on helps you convert Google Docs™ content into WordPress-ready CSV files. It preserves your document’s formatting and structure while allowing you to specify categories and tags for each article.

Key Features

  • Convert multiple articles from a single Google Doc™ to WordPress format
  • Preserve headings, paragraphs, and bullet point formatting
  • Add categories and tags to each article
  • Export as a CSV file compatible with WP All Import

How it works

  • Write your articles in Google Docs™ using Heading 1 for article titles
  • Add categories and tags at the end of each article using simple tags: [Category: xyz] [Tags: abc, def]
  • Select “Export to WordPress CSV” from the Extensions Menu to generate your import file
  • Import the CSV file into WordPress using WP All Import or similar tools

Data & Permissions

This add-on requires the following permissions:

  • Access to the current document only – to read your content and formatting
  • Limited Drive access – to save the CSV file in your Drive in the same folder as the document
  • UI access – to show the formatting guide and success messages

We only process the current document you’re working on and create CSV files in the same folder. No data is stored or transmitted elsewhere.
